Terms of service
Last updated May 25, 2026
By using dutchstarter you agree to these terms. They cover what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.
1. Who we are
dutchstarter is operated by Kraai Online, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 91312353. Our address is De Nieuwe Erven 3, unit 13661, 5431 NV Cuijk, the Netherlands. You can reach us at hello@dutchstarter.com.
2. What dutchstarter is
dutchstarter is an informational tool that helps people moving to the Netherlands organise the practical tasks of settling in. It produces a personalised checklist based on a few questions you answer and recommends partners for the products and services most newcomers need (banking, telecom, insurance, and so on).
dutchstarter is not legal, financial, immigration, or medical advice. Content may go out of date or not apply to your specific situation. For visa decisions, tax filing, or contracts, check with the relevant authority or a qualified professional.
3. Using the service
You may use dutchstarter without an account. If you choose to sign in, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep one account per person. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
You agree not to abuse the service. That includes attempting to extract our data in bulk, interfering with other users, and using the service to harass anyone.
4. Affiliate relationships
Some partner links are affiliate links: when you sign up with a partner through one of those links, dutchstarter may earn a commission. This does not change the price you pay, and our affiliate relationships do not influence which services we recommend or the order they appear in. Every affiliate link is clearly marked with an “Affiliate” badge on the partner card so you can tell at a glance which is which. The full disclosure lives in our privacy policy.
5. Third-party services
When you click a partner link and sign up with a partner, your relationship is with that partner, not with dutchstarter. The partner’s own terms and privacy policy govern that account. We recommend reputable companies but are not responsible for the products, services, decisions, or conduct of any partner.
6. Content and intellectual property
The checklist content, copy, brand, and design are ours. You are welcome to read, share, and link to dutchstarter. Please do not republish substantial portions of our content elsewhere without asking.
7. Limitation of liability
dutchstarter is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by Dutch law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or anything else that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, violate these terms, or are used unlawfully. We will let you know unless legal or safety reasons prevent it.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change anything material we will update this page, and if you have an account we will email you. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts of the Netherlands.
